Slidechamp rose from the ashes of WVH. David Ezzell (Craig's girlfriend's younger brother) joined on guitar and vocals. Jay Dixon played second guitar for a year before Scott Snow joined.

The first 4 songs were recorded at Woodhouse Studios in Chesapeake VA the summer of 1996. We made a few cassette tapes to give out and got a little play on the local alternative rock station.

You Lost It and Husqvarna were recorded live at Port O Call in Nags Head NC the summer of 1996.

Choking was recorded on 4 Track at home perhaps in 1995 (Jay may have played on this version).

Green Hat, Stuffed Bat and Spys and Private Eyes were recorded in Craig's Wreck Room on 4 Track in 1995 (or 96?).

John Naismith and Craig Privott grew up together in Suffolk VA. They started out playing music in high school (all covers) and eventually wrote their own songs and were in many bands together as the rhythm section. Eventually John would also take over guitar and songwriting duties with Tinker Clay.
